This is a one of a kind opportunity to take part in a workshop and go home with a significant soapstone carving done by your own hand. Lloyd guarantee’s you will have fun and be proud of your creation…everyone can do this!
No experience is needed !
6 HOUR For adults and ages 12 and up ( 12-14 must be accompanied by adult)
Participants in this soapstone carving workshop will learn the carving secrets from a master and go home with a beautiful work of their own which might include a sail boat, candle holders, dancing bears, owls, pine tree, wolves, fish, inuksuk and more . , Discover this very soft stone that can be carved with simple hand tools.
In this one day 6 hour workshop you will be introduced to using simple tools to do the detailed carving, how to finish your carving and reveal the full colour of the stone.
This workshop is great for families, dads, couples, a group of friends or neighbours and even a business perk for employees.

Lloyd Stonehouse has been conducting soapstone carving seminars from coast to coast in Canada as well as internationally since the 1990s. He spends his summers paddling a canoe and offering soapstone workshops throughout Ontario’s provincial parks.
